Before you go!

1. US Citizens will need a passport to travel to Portugal.

2. You do NOT need ETIAS Travel Authorization to travel to Portugal or other Schengen Area destinations. This has been postponed to at least the second half of 2025 (and likely further).

3. For international service, we recommend renting a Hotspot vs buying an international data plan.

4. Many of our guests will want to have cash at hand, we recommend withdrawing from ATMS in Portugal – use the “Multibanco” ATMs vs Euronet to avoid high fees. These names will be at the top of the ATMs. Most businesses accept Visa or MasterCard, try to avoid AMEX.

5. Download the rideshare app “Bolt” as an alternative to “Uber”  - both are great options for getting around.

6. As the EU has different electrical outlets, you’ll need an outlet converter – you can find these on Amazon.

7. Sneakers are a must! Portugal is incredibly hilly, please plan accordingly for the venue and site-seeing.
